Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked La Union (18-22) was outscored by first ranked San Lorenzo (27-11) in Almagra 88-64 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by San Lorenzo. La Union was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. San Lorenzo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Marcos Mata (201-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. San Lorenzo will face Weber Bahia (#3) in Bahia Blanca in the next round, which may be the game of the day. La Union will play at home against Penarol (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
