No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked BC Nokia (15-17) beat at home bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (5-27) 95-78. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. UU-Korihait was better in second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 30 and made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was guard Javier Duren (193-93, college: Yale) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. BC Nokia's coach Ville Tuominen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Eric McAlister (204-90, college: Stony Brook) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) added 5 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five BC Nokia and four UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. BC Nokia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lapua. Newly promoted UU-Korihait stay dead last with 27 lost games. BC Nokia's next round opponent will be Kouvot (#7) in Kouvola. UU-Korihait will play at home against Joensuun Kataja and hope to win that game.
