An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kanagawa. First ranked Toshiba Thunders faced 4th ranked Kyoto Hannar.. Host Toshiba Thunders (37-6) defeated guests from Kyoto (20-23) 101-90. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Kyoto Hannar. was better in fourth quarter 30-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toshiba Thunders made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game, while Kyoto Hannar. only scored eleven points from the stripe. Kyoto Hannar. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 17 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). International point guard Yuma Fujii (178-91) chipped in 18 points. Toshiba Thunders' coach Takuya Kita allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada, agency: Aspire Sports) added 19 points respectively for the guests.
