1/8 Finals Round 1: Elchingen - Schalke 81-66

Elchingen opened win count in the playoffs as they rallied past Schalke. Elchingen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Schalke's 32. They outrebounded Schalke 37-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Canadian swingman Taevaunn Prince (191-91, college: Missouri So.) nailed 27 points for the winning side and forward Brian Butler (196-91) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. American-Irish guard Patrick Carney (185-85, college: Chapman) came up with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Schalke in the defeat. Schalke's coach Raphael Wilder let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
