Regular Season Round 22: Cholet - Nancy 82-85

Bottom-ranked Sluc Nancy managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Cholet Basket 85-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cholet Basket. Cholet Basket was trailing by 15 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 18-14 charge of Sluc Nancy, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Montenegrin point guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 20 points and 9 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and American center Graham Brown (206-84, college: Michigan) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Sluc Nancy maintains eighteenth position with 5-17 record. Loser Cholet Basket dropped to the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Dijon and Chalons-Reims. Sluc Nancy will meet at home higher ranked JDA Dijon (#13) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cholet Basket will play against Paris-Levallois and hope to secure a win.
