Regular Season Round 22: Le Mans - Paris-Levallois 44-68

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Paris-Levallois (13-9) smashed on the road 10th ranked Le Mans (10-12) 68-44 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Paris-Levallois. Le Mans was better in second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Le Mans to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Le Mans 39-24 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paris-Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Jason Rich (191-86) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Louis Labeyrie (209-92) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. Paris-Levallois maintains fifth position with 13-9 record, which they share with Strasbourg. Loser Le Mans keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Paris-Levallois will face Cholet Basket (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Le Mans will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#4) and hope to win that game.
