No shocking result in a game when second ranked Omegna (16-7) won against at home 16th ranked Domodossola (6-16) 68-60 on Saturday. Omegna made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Omegna outrebounded Domodossola 39-20 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Alexander Simoncelli (186-86, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Marco Arrigoni (199-91) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. Corrado Bianconi (202-94) responded with 14 points and guard Maurizio Realini (190-83) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Omegna maintains second place in B with 16-7 record having two points less than leader Montegrano. Newly promoted Domodossola keeps the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Omegna will face Fiorentina (#9) in Firenze in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Domodossola will play at home against Oleggio (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
