Rather predictable result when third ranked Chiba Jets (29-13) beat at home 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (10-32) 83-74 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Tomonobu Hasegawa (184-90) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Shiga L-Stars' coach Tohyama Kohto rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba Jets have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 29-13 record having nine points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the sixth place with 32 games lost. Chiba Jets will face again Shiga L-Stars (#6) at home in the next round.
