Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Rivas Promete (12-10) defeated at home 10th ranked Batalyaws (7-15) 69-55 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 42-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rivas Promete outrebounded Batalyaws 38-22 including a 15-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson, agency: Josep and Nicolas) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lucia Togores (176-96) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Rivas Promete players scored in double figures. Rivas Promete's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Brazilian-Portuguese forward Larisse Lima (185-88) responded with 6 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Kamara-Ndeye Thiama (185-97, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points. Rivas Promete moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Antiguo Boscos and Adareva. Newly promoted Batalyaws keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Rivas Promete will face league's second-placed Leganes on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Batalyaws will play against C.Adelantados (#4) and hope to win that game.
