Regular Season Round 21: Reims - Dunkerque 60-56

Very expected game when 11th ranked Dunkerque (6-15) lost on the road to sixth ranked Reims (13-8) 60-56. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Dunkerque took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Reims had a 28-13 second period charge getting the lead and Dunkerque was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-60. The best player for the winners was forward Maimouna Ba (190-96) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Clementine Samson (181-91) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian center Aija Brumermane (192-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Reims moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Arras. Dunkerque lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Reims' next round opponent will be Arras (#4) on the road. Dunkerque will play against Limoges (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
