Fourteenth-ranked CFBB (4-17) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Arras (13-8) in Paris on Saturday. The visitors from Arras managed to secure only three-point victory 67-64. However their fans expected much easier game. CFBB cut a 19-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Arras dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 4 points in first quarter. Guard Aminata Konate (169-90) nailed 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) accounted for 23 points. Swingman Tima Pouye (176-99) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Kadiatou Sissoko (180-99) added 9 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Arras maintains fourth place with 13-8 record, which they share with Reims. CFBB at the other side stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Arras will meet at home Reims (#5) in the next round. CFBB will play against the league's leader Avenir (#1) in Chartres and hope to secure a win.
