The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Rotterdam: Binnenland (#5) and Rotterdam (#7). Binnenland (13-9) crushed visiting Rotterdam (4-19) by 34 points 78-44. Binnenland forced 28 Rotterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 25 on the defensive glass. Guard Gabrielle Van-Den-Bosch (173-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Jantine Kraak (193-89, college: W.Illinois) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Binnenland players scored in double figures. Binnenland's coach Joost van Rangelrooy felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Robyn Bouwer (178-0) answered with 12 points and Tete Bartelds added 11 points and 6 steals in the effort for Rotterdam. Binnenland moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Rotterdam keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. Binnenland are looking forward to face Royal Eagles (#6) in Apeldoorn in the next round. Rotterdam will play at home against Grasshoppers and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
