Regular Season Round 23: Kangoeroes - Brussels 67-79

Date: March 11, 2017
The most shocking disappointment of round 23 in the Euromillions League was a home defeat of 3rd placed Kangoeroes (12-11) to fourth ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (13-10) 79-67 in the game for the third place. It ended the four-game winning streak of Kangoeroes. Basic-Fit Brussels made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American swingman Chris Dowe (193-91, college: Bellarmine) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Brandon Ubel (209-91, college: Nebraska, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Basic-Fit Brussels' coach Serge Crevecoeur used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Dennis Donkor (193-91, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Basic-Fit Brussels moved-up to third place. Kangoeroes at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Limburg United. Basic-Fit Brussels are looking forward to face Leuven Bears (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kangoeroes will play against Liege Basket (#10) in Liege and are hoping to win this game.
