Regular Season Round 24: Rieti - Agrigento 71-64

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Rieti (12-12) won against at home higher ranked Agrigento (13-11) 71-64 on Sunday. It was a good game for American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Rieti's coach Luciano Nunzi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Perrin Buford (198-94, college: Middle Tenn.St.) replied with 9 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian forward Albano Chiarastella (199-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points in the effort for Agrigento. Rieti moved-up to eighth place in A2. Loser Agrigento keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Rieti will face Novipiu Casale (#10) on the road in the next round.
