Regular Season Round 17: Tokyo Cinq R. - Kanazawa Sam. 77-101

Leader Kanazawa Sam. delivered the twenty seventh victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (13-19) 101-77. Kanazawa Sam. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. American forward RJ Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa Sam. maintains first place with 27-3 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will meet Toyoda Gosei (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo Cinq R. will have a break next round.
