Regular Season Round 24: Roseto - Mantova 88-81

The game in Roseto was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Mantova (13-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Roseto (14-10). Roseto managed to secure a 7-point victory 88-81 on Sunday. Roseto dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Mantova's 32 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Alessandro Amici (200-91) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lorenzo Gergati (188-84) added 16 points in the effort for Mantova. Roseto moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Mantova dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Roseto will face Chieti (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mantova will play against Piacenza (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
