B League top team - Aishin Sea Horses (33-10) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Sendai 89ers (11-32) in Kariya 107-75. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Sendai 89ers only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Sendai 89ers 45-25 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Sendai 89ers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 24 rebounds. The former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-90) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Masaharu Kataoka (190-85) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first place with 33-10 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Sendai 89ers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 32 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be league's leader Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and it will be for sure the game of the week.
