Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Taranto (5-16) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Rimini (10-11) 67-58 on Sunday. It was a great evening for swingman Leonardo Battistini (194-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Francesco Foiera (207-75, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Roberto Chiacig (210-74, agency: SPORTlab Agency) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Matteo Fioravanti (194-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Rimini moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Taranto dropped to the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Rimini will face higher ranked Matera (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taranto will play against Senigallia (#9) and hope to win that game.
