Regular Season Round 23: Faenza - San Vendemiano 92-52

Date: March 12, 2017
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Faenza (15-8) smashed at home 15th ranked San Vendemiano (6-17) 92-52 on Sunday. Faenza forced 20 San Vendemiano turnovers and outrebounded them 34-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Faenza shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by San Vendemiano's players. It was a great evening for swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Forward Edoardo Rossetto (199-94) responded with 16 points and Andrea Muner (200-90) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Faenza have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in B with 15-8 record. San Vendemiano lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Faenza will face Iseo (#16) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. San Vendemiano will play against Piacenza and hope to win that game.
