Very expected game when 13th ranked Sevilla (7-15) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Gran Canaria (15-8) 89-70 on Sunday. The game without a history. Gran Canaria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Sevilla only scored seven points from the stripe. Sevilla was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Royce O'Neale (198-93, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Albert Oliver (187-78) who added 9 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Trent Lockett (196-90, college: Marquette) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard DeAndre Kane (193-89, college: Iowa St., agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sevilla players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gran Canaria have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 15-8 record. Sevilla lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Gran Canaria will face bottom-ranked La ICL Manresa (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
