An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. Second ranked Fukuoka Rizing faced 4th placed Otsuka A.. Host Fukuoka Rizing (26-4) smashed guests from Tokyo (18-12) 83-52. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Otsuka A.'s 18. Fukuoka Rizing forced 23 Otsuka A. turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Brian Butch (211-84, college: Wisconsin) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) produced 9 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 26-4 record behind leader Kanazawa Sam. Otsuka A. at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Otsuka A. will play against Aisin AW (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
