There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Maddaloni (3-20) beat at home higher ranked Roma Vis Nova (7-14) 69-60 on Sunday. Maddaloni forced 28 Roma Vis Nova turnovers. It was a great evening for swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Point guard Fabio Sansone (172-96) helped adding 16 points. Guard Giulio Casale (187-91) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Giacomo Barraco (205-87) scored 9 points. Maddaloni maintains sixteenth place in B with 3-20 record. Newly promoted Roma Vis Nova keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Maddaloni will face higher ranked Basket Barcellona (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
