The game in Gdynia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Energa Torun (16-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Basket Gdynia (9-13). Energa Torun smashed Basket Gdynia 78-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Basket Gdynia. Strangely Basket Gdynia outrebounded Energa Torun 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. American swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) supported her with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four Energa Torun players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) did not help to save the game for Basket Gdynia. American center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Energa Torun have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Basket Gdynia at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost.
