Regular Season Round 24: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 76-75

The most exciting game of round 24 in the Liga Endesa took place in Madrid. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers FC Barcelona (15-7) to fifth ranked Real Madrid (16-6) 76-75 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. 24 personal fouls committed by FC Barcelona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international Sergio Llull (190-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists and American-Azerbaijani guard Jaycee Carroll (188-83) who added 14 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and international Victor Claver (207-88) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Valencia. FC Barcelona at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Unicaja. Real Madrid is looking forward to face Blusens Monbus (#16) in Santoago de Comp in the next round which should be an easy win for them. FC Barcelona will play on the road against Joventut (#15) in Badalona and is hoping to win this game.
