Regular Season Round 22: Udine Delser - Salerno 77-46

Very expected game when 13th ranked Salerno (2-18) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Udine Delser (14-7) 77-46 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Udine Delser. Salerno was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Salerno to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Udine Delser dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Salerno's 18. Guard Debora Vicenzotti (182-89) fired 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Nigerian-British swingman Ejay Ofomata (180-86, college: Central State) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. Udine Delser's coach Valdi Medeot felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Irish power forward Sarah Kenny (180-97) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Arianna Meschi (165-97) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Udine Delser have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Udine Delser maintains fifth position with 14-7 record. Salerno lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Udine Delser will face Viterbo (#9) on the road in the next round. Salerno will play against the league's second-placed Bologna (#2) and hope to win that game.
