Very important is a road loss of third ranked Bnei Hasharon (13-9) against eleventh ranked Maccabi Ashdod (8-14) on Monday night. Visiting Bnei Hasharon was crushed by Maccabi Ashdod in Ashdod 94-70. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. Bnei Hasharon was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Bnei Hasharon's 30. American Chase Simon (201-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Three Eye Sports) notched 29 points to lead the effort and the other American import guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by American Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown, agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Bnei Hasharon. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: Three Eye Sports) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi Ashdod have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eleventh position with 8-14 record. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost.
