Regular Season Round 22: Anwil - AZS Koszalin 78-62

Very expected game in Wloclawek where 14th ranked AZS Koszalin (8-16) was defeated by second ranked Anwil (17-7) 78-62 on Monday. Anwil outrebounded AZS Koszalin 39-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. AZS Koszalin was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian guard Nemanja Jaramaz (200-91, agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian center Josip Sobin (203-89, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Remon Nelson (175-90, college: FoKoPo) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anwil have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-7 record having just one point less than leader Stelmet ZG. Loser AZS Koszalin keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Anwil will face TBV Start (#15) in Lublin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Koszalin will play on the road against the league's leader Stelmet in Zielona Gora and hope to win that game.
