Regular Season Round 22: Fiat TO - Dolomiti En. TR 76-67

We should mention about the upset which took place in Torino, where higher ranked Dolomiti En. TR (12-10) lost to ninth ranked Auxilium TO (11-11) in a road game 67-76 on Monday. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dolomiti En. TR. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-16. But Dolomiti En. TR won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Auxilium TO had a 37-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Valerio Mazzola (205-88) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Auxilium TO players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Filippo Baldi-Rossi (207-91) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Aaron Craft (188-91, college: Ohio St.) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Auxilium TO moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE and Enel Brindisi. Loser Dolomiti En. TR keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Banco di Srd. Auxilium TO will meet league's second-placed Umana Venezia on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dolomiti En. TR will play against The Flexx PT and hope to secure a win.
