Regular Season Round 26: Alvik Basket - IK Eos 68-74

The most important game in the last round took place in Stockholm between third ranked Alvik Basket (15-12) and seventh ranked IK Eos (12-15) on Wednesday night. Alvik Basket was defeated by IK Eos in a tough game at home 68-74. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-68. IK Eos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alvik Basket's 24. IK Eos forced 20 Alvik Basket turnovers. American Vee Young (186-89, college: Martin Methodist) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Antoinette Thompson (170-90, college: TCU) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. International point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Nathalie Schonberg (169-90) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. IK Eos moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Norrkoping and Telge. Alvik Basket at the other side keeps the third position with 12 games lost.
