Very important is a road loss of third ranked ToPo (16-11) against ninth ranked Pyrinto II (10-17) on Wednesday night. Visiting ToPo was crushed by Pyrinto II in Tampere 102-78. Pyrinto II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to ToPo's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jerrah Young (203-85, college: Toledo) accounted for 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Pyrinto II's coach Juri Heinamaki felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gambian power forward Pierre Jallow (203-79, college: William Jewell) came up with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Juuso Kauppinen (188-94) added 16 points respectively for ToPo in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pyrinto II have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with FoKoPo. ToPo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the third position with 11 games lost.
