An exciting game was played in Contagem. Botafogo F.R. faced Contagem. Guests from Rio de Janeiro (3-1) defeated host Contagem (3-1) 74-64. Botafogo F.R. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico) notched 13 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and center Feliciano Perez (210-90) supported him with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Even 18 points by Rodrigo Maistro (200-87) did not help to save the game for Contagem. Point guard Eric Romualdo (185-83) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Botafogo F.R.'s next round opponent will be Blumenau (#3), which may be the game of the day.
