Leader Stelmet recorded the nineteenth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 10th ranked Polpharma (13-12) 85-72 in Zielona Gora. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Polpharma. Stelmet made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (203-92, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists. Four Stelmet players scored in double figures. Stelmet's coach Artur Gronek used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Jakub Schenk (183-94) responded with 19 points and 6 assists and Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-96) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Stelmet have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-6 record. Loser Polpharma keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Krosno and Szczecin. Stelmet will meet Asseco (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Polpharma will play against Wilki Morskie in Szczecin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
