There was a small surprise in Helsinki where ninth ranked Forssan Koripojat (10-17) beat 7th ranked HBA-Marsky (11-16) 93-78 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-78. Forssan Koripojat made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Forssan Koripojat looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Roderick Flemings (203-87, college: Hawaii) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Juho-Matti Henttonen (200-96) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Point guard Edon Maxhuni (186-98) produced 19 points and 8 assists and forward Mikael Jantunen (200-0) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. HBA-Marsky's coach Antti Koskelainen rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Forssan Koripojat moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Pyrinto II. Loser HBA-Marsky dropped to the sixth position with 16 games lost.
