Regular Season Round 36: Pyrinto - KTP Basket 76-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked KTP-Basket (12-21) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (12-21) 76-70 on Friday. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to KTP-Basket's 34. They outrebounded KTP-Basket 48-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Interperformances) who added 14 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Tampereen Pyrinto players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Antwan Scott (188-92, college: Colorado St.) with 28 points and 7 rebounds and Jamaican-American power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tampereen Pyrinto moved-up to eighth place, which they share with KTP Basket. Tampereen Pyrinto will face higher ranked BC Nokia (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
