There was a small surprise in Buenos Aires where ninth ranked Boca Juniors (13-28) defeated 6th ranked Quimsa (22-20) 98-92 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 98-92. It was a great evening for Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. Panamanian-American swingman Gary Forbes (201-85, college: Virginia) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington) scored 18 points and 5 assists. Five Quimsa players scored in double figures. Boca Juniors maintains ninth place with 13-28 record. Loser Quimsa keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost. Boca Juniors will face Atenas (#9) in Cordoba in the next round.
