Second Stage Round 7: Amicale - Contern 95-74

An interesting game for Amicale (22-2) which hosted in Steinsel 3rd placed Contern (13-11). First ranked Amicale had an easy win 95-74. It was a great shooting night for Amicale especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU, agency: Court Side) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international power forward Billy McDaniel (199-84, college: Ark.-Monticello) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. Coach Ken Diederich's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Jesse Morgan (196-91, college: Temple) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Manny Atkins (198-91, college: Georgia St.) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains first place in League with 22-2 record. Contern at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Amicale's next round opponent will be Sparta (#6) in Bertrange which should be theoretically another easy game. Contern will play at home against T71 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
