Very important is a home loss of second ranked Musel Pikes (18-6) against sixth ranked Sparta (11-13) on Saturday night. Host Musel Pikes was defeated by Sparta in a tough game in Stadrbredimus 86-92. Sparta made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Brad Reese (200-88, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) accounted for 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Reese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) came up with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 26 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for Musel Pikes in the defeat. Four Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. Sparta maintains sixth place in League with 11-13 record. Loser Musel Pikes keeps the second position with six games lost. Sparta will meet at home league's leader Amicale in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Musel Pikes will play against Contern in Luxembourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
