Regular Season Round 24: Estela - Ardoi 56-60

Top ranked Estela (19-2) recorded its second loss in Santander on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Ardoi (15-6) 60-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Estela. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Estela won fourth quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was center Andres Zabaleta (200-94) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ardoi maintains fourth position in Group A-A with 15-6 record. Estela at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Ardoi are looking forward to face Valladolid Univ. (#6) at home in the next round. Estela will play against Burgos (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
