Very important is a road loss of second ranked Real Madrid (16-7) against sixteenth ranked Blusens Monbus (7-16) on Saturday night. Visiting Real Madrid was defeated by Blusens Monbus in a tough game in Santoago de Comp 83-90. Real Madrid was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 53-45 second half run of Blusens Monbus. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Blusens Monbus outrebounded Real Madrid 32-20 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Blusens Monbus especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius (204-90) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International Sergio Llull (190-87) answered with 17 points and 5 assists and Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic (201-99) added 17 points in the effort for Real Madrid. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blusens Monbus moved-up to fifteenth place. Defending champion Real Madrid dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with FC Barcelona and Baskonia. Blusens Monbus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Real Madrid will play at home against RETAbet BB and hopes to get back on the winning track.
