Regular Season Round 47: Shimane SM - Kagawa FA 80-64

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Kagawa FA (13-32) was defeated on the road by first ranked Shimane Magic (38-6) 80-64 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shimane Magic made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Rintaro Tokunaga (177-86) added 8 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shimane Magic have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 38-6 record.
