Regular Season Round 24: San Vendemiano - Piacenza 70-91

Very expected game when 15th ranked San Vendemiano (6-18) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Piacenza (18-6) 91-70 on Saturday. Piacenza forced 20 San Vendemiano turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Matteo Samoggia (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Giacomo Sanguinetti (180-90) who added 11 points and 9 assists during the contest. Five Piacenza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Andrea Carlesso (202-82) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Edoardo Rossetto (199-94) scored 13 points. San Vendemiano's coach Fabio Volpato gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Piacenza moved-up to third place in B. San Vendemiano lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Piacenza will face Milano Urania (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. San Vendemiano will play against Sestu (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
