Regular Season Round 23: Leganes - Rivas Promete 62-76

The game between third ranked Leganes (17-6) and sixth ranked Rivas Promete (13-10) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Leganes was defeated by Rivas Promete in Leganes 76-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leganes. The game was mostly controlled by Rivas Promete. Leganes managed to win third quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Marta Blanes (184-77) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Rivas Promete players scored in double figures. Guard Marta Perez (177-94) produced 22 points and Greek-Nigerian forward Jessica Ogunnorin (185-92, college: VCU) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Leganes' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivas Promete maintains sixth place in Group B with 13-10 record, which they share with Antiguo Boscos and Adareva. Leganes at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Rivas Promete is looking forward to face Antiguo Boscos (#8) in Zaragoza in the next round. Leganes will play on the road against the league's leader C.Adelantados (#1) in San Cristobal and is hoping to win this game.
