No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Villarrobledo (14-10) smashed at home 11th ranked Alcobendas (10-13) 79-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Villarrobledo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Alcobendas' 22. Villarrobledo had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Artur Alaminos (205-91) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Senegalese forward Bruno Diatta (208-96) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and Gabriel Gomez (195-95) added 5 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Villarrobledo have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Gran Canaria B. Loser Alcobendas keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Villarrobledo will face higher ranked La Roda (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alcobendas will play against the league's second-placed Casvi (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
