There was no surprise in Verona where 7th ranked Alpo VF (11-10) was defeated by second ranked Vicenza (18-2) 77-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vicenza. Alpo VF was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vicenza forced 21 Alpo VF turnovers. Power forward Giuditta Nicolodi (185-95) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian forward Tina Jakovina (183-92) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds.
