There was a small surprise when fourth ranked UCAM Murcia II (5-7) won against on the road top-ranked Myrtia (9-2) 70-63 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 40-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. UCAM Murcia II dominated on the defensive end, holding Myrtia to just 5 points in third quarter. Myrtia was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Emilio Martinez (180-98) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Pablo Carselle (183-93) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four UCAM Murcia II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Samuel Alcaraz (183-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Myrtia's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. UCAM Murcia II moved-up to third place in Group E Clasif. Loser Myrtia still keeps top position with two games lost. UCAM Murcia II will have a break next round. Myrtia will play at home against Lliria and hope to win that game.
