An interesting game for Bascharage (2-21) which played road game in Mondercange against 4th placed BC Mess (12-12). Fourth ranked Bascharage had an easy win 83-61. BC Mess was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Phillip Leonard (188-93, college: Mercer) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Emilio Parks (198-92, college: Johnson C. Smith) contributed with 27 points for the winners. American guard Gary Akbar (196-94, college: Texas-PB) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Michael Ayodele (203-88, college: Florida A&M) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BC Mess. BC Mess' coach Nigel Tolentino gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Bascharage maintains fourth place in League with 2-21 record which they share with defeated BC Mess. Newly promoted BC Mess keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Bascharage will face league's leader Basket Esch at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Mess will play against Kordall Steelers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
