The game in Rotterdam supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Grasshoppers (16-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Rotterdam (4-20). Grasshoppers smashed Rotterdam 91-62 on Saturday. Grasshoppers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Rotterdam's 34. Grasshoppers forced 21 Rotterdam turnovers and outrebounded them 37-9 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Rotterdam's players. The winners were led by Fleur Kuyt (178-96) who scored that evening 19 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Sharon Beld (186-88) supported her with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Grasshoppers players scored in double figures. Grasshoppers' coach Rick Driessen felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 6 points and 5 rebounds by Susanne Taal (-94) did not help to save the game for Rotterdam. Forward Robyn Bouwer (178-0) added 12 points. Grasshoppers moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Rotterdam keeps the seventh position with 20 games lost. Grasshoppers will meet at home Den Helder (#5) in the next round. Rotterdam will play against Royal Eagles in Apeldoorn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
