Regular Season Round 23: Nancy - Dijon 87-70

Bottom-ranked Sluc Nancy managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked JDA Dijon 87-70. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that Sluc Nancy is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. Sluc Nancy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to JDA Dijon's 28. Sluc Nancy had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Spanish guard Alex Urtasun (193-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American-Montenegrin point guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists and the other American import forward Isaiah Miles (201-94, college: St.Joseph's) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Sluc Nancy (6-17) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Orleans. JDA Dijon at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Cholet and Chalons-Reims. Sluc Nancy will play against bottom-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (#18) on the road in the next round. JDA Dijon will play against Olympique Antibes (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
