The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Heffingen's (17-7) home victory over 3rd placed Arantia (6-19) 92-80 on Saturday. Heffingen had a 37-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Arantia's players. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Joel Thesen (185-88) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Heffingen players scored in double figures. American swingman Ladarius Tabb (196, college: Alabama A&M) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Duke Mondy (193-90, college: Oakland) added 22 points and 5 assists in the effort for Arantia. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains second place in League with 17-7 record having five points less than leader Amicale. Loser Arantia keeps the third position with 19 games lost. Heffingen will face league's leader Racing in Luxembourg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arantia will play on the road against the league's leader Racing in Luxembourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
