Horsholm rallied past Amager in the semifinal series opener. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Amager to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Horsholm forced 23 Amager turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Line Piechnik (171-90) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Filipino-American forward Kelly Hardeman (183-94, college: Azusa Pacific) answered with 7 points and 13 rebounds and guard Ida Klussmann (170-93) added 14 points in the effort for Amager. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
